Moved from Yoker to 6,000 sq ft premises in Scotstoun. This afforded space for a showroom, trade counter and demonstration facilities, as well as an in-house service department and well-equipped vans for its mobile sales representatives and engineers.

ESAB appointed Weldsafe Limited as its first Platinum Distributor in the UK, recognising the enviable, in-depth knowledge of the product range and welding technology in general.
Invested in a CNC router machine to provide a bespoke foaming service for toolboxes etc.
