Weldsafe was founded in May 1982 by John Bunyan and his two founding business partners.  From humble beginnings in spare bedroom HQ, we now employ 11 staff from our 6000 square feet premises in the heart of South Street, Scotstoun, Glasgow.

This means 40 years of supplying businesses with quality welding equipment and consumables with strong technical support not previously available in the industry distribution network. In 2022 we still pride ourselves on being able to offer our customers product advice that is hard to find elsewhere.

We’ve sold welding machines to customers from the northernmost Shetland Isles all the way to the Isle of Wight off the South Coast of England.

From the early years, Weldsafe have been authorised distributors of ESAB welding and cutting equipment and consumables and more recently, Fronius welding systems, achieving the highest recognition possible as an ESAB Platinum Distributor and Fronius Authorized Partner Plus.

Having established the business as a top industry competitor right from the beginning, Weldsafe continued to develop by expanding into the supply of SPX Flow Powerteam hydraulic jacking, lifting and torquing equipment, Hypertherm plasma cutting machines, Metabo professional power tool solutions and 110v site electrics.

Today, Weldsafe continues to provide unparalleled service on the highest quality and contemporary welding equipment, along with in house and on-site weld plant servicing and calibration, repairs.
