Off-grid MMA welding with Ignis Battery, a rechargeable battery-driven manual electrode power source.
Now jobs needing up to 12 x 3.2 mm (0.13”) electrodes or up to 31 x 2.5 mm (0.1”) ones can be welded autonomously. And without any limitations on the welding power or the quality of the arc. The perfect interplay between the battery and the welding electronics also permits high welding voltage at high power.
Whether you’re working on exposed installations and construction sites, in the great outdoors, or in an open field: These and many other situations pose a particular challenge for welding specialists. Responsibility is literally in their hands. What is more, conventional welding solutions quickly reach their limits here. Complex grid leads often have to be laid to the welding point or a heavy and noisy generator used – both very costly and time consuming measures.
With the Ignis Battery a power connection is not required. With complete independence from the energy supply, you can rely on a stable and high-performance welding process for both manual arc and TIG welding thanks to innovative battery technology, leaving you to focus fully on the task at hand.
Ready for use again in no time
High-performance lithium-ion battery (750 Wh)
Quick battery charging:
40 min – 80% power
60 min – 100% power
Normal charging:
55 min – 80% power
85 min – 100% power
When you’re in a hurry: Two electrodes can be welded after only 5 minutes of charging time!
Set Includes:
Battery Mode
Welding energy is drawn exclusively from the battery. One battery charge is sufficient for around thirty one 2.5 mm or twelve 3.25 mm electrodes. Alternatively, 30 minutes of continuous TIG welding can be performed (at 100 A).
Hybrid Mode
Facilitates mobile applications and saves investment costs: Due to the low current consumption, a much smaller generator (2 kVA) can be used than with gridconnected devices – without compromising on welding power or arc quality.
Mains Operation
Full output power of 150A including with a 120V grid: The battery’s integrated power reserve guarantees a constant arc even in the event of mains voltage fluctuations and prevents the mains fuse from tripping in case of power surges.
